Artist-Friend: Trish Crowe

Trish at the opening of her show, Sara Schneidman Gallery, Culpeper VA

A gallery opening to an artist is like a recital to a musician–the thousands of hours of preparation, the risk of going public, and the reward of completing an all-out creative effort. Trish and I have been friends since our daughters were in Girl Scouts together. Now she has an art studio at Firnew Farm, where she and her husband David live near Hood, Virginia. It was pure pleasure to attend her “recital” on November 17 at Sara Schneidman’s Gallery in Culpepper and see her exquisite watercolors. Steve and I fell in love with one that featured red poppies, which will soon hang in our Florida home. Trish makes beautiful music with her paints and brushes.
