Butterflies

Butterflies are abundant in South Florida’s tropical climate, but they particularly love the special houses that have been built just for them at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens in Coral Gables and at Butterfly World. There were dazzling blue morphs and white morphs, but they rarely lit. I really liked the one above, called “Piano Keys,” which posed for my camera. Here are my photos of other butterflies doing what they seem to like to do best:  eating, hanging out, mating, showing off. And here are some lovely paintings of butterflies.
