Family in Florida
Warm weather in winter attracts visitors! David, Leslie, Lilli and Violet were here for several days in February. The Eidsons arrived March 15 and Leslie and David came up from Coral Gables to see them, too. The kids enjoyed lots of outdoor play: hopscotch, bike riding, swimming in the pool. Fond memories:
- Violet announcing “rainbow time!” each afternoon when the sun’s rays came through the beveled glass of the front door
- Stephen playing bounce ball in the carport with Uncle David, working puzzles with me
- Thomas keeping a golf ball and club in his hands at all times, racing to the golf course outside whenever he saw a chance
- Leslie bringing me a chocolate-raspberry birthday cake
- Sean and Stephen catching fish in the pond behind our house
- Lilli taking daily runs and printing out paper dolls, masks and finger puppets
- Shelby, her camera always ready, taking great photos
- David and Steve winning Quail Ridge wine glasses in the Member-Guest tournament
- Steve taking the boys to the driving range, reading lots of picture books
- all three kids enthusiastically reciting Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes: “Did Pete cry? Goodness no! He just kept walking along, singing his song…”
- visits to the beach and to Butterfly World in Coconut Creek FL
- Leslie’s amazing guacamole, Sean’s steaks, Shelby’s salads: good wines for the adults
